Another Vampire Movie

Yep!  Another one.  This is based on the Graphic Novel "Priest" (read more about that HERE).

Here's the IMBD listing for the movie.  I'm excited because PAUL BETTANY is in it---I love him.  I've seen him in A Knight's Tale, The DaVinci Code, and Legion.   I should probably check out the other movies he's been in, as I always find him to outshine lead actors when he's a supporting actor.  In Legion, as the lead actor, he was amazing and not over the top (which I worried about).

Here is the Official Trailor for Priest, so enjoy:

Blog Zombie Walk!

Yep, you read that right! Head on over to GHOST HUNTING THEORIES to see the full explanation of this awesome idea for a virtual zombie walk!

Thanks to PUMPKINROT for posting this amazing film of the abandoned Six Flags in New Orleans.

Web Crawling Wednesday--Hearses!!!!

So I won't be sharing just ONE link today, I'll be sharing a few.....but they all have ONE THING in common---HEARSES!  Yes, you read that right.  I love hearses, especially antique and vintage ones, so I'm choosing some of my favourite sites to peruse.

My dream, now that I'll be able to drive thanks to the  Ménières (vertigo) disease being fixed, is to own a hearse.  Something vintage and cool, that I can decorate tastefully.  Of course, it'll be many years before I can afford a hearse (or any car of my own), so I content myself with perusing the 'net looking at hearses.

This is a great listing with photos, of hearses from horse drawn ones, to modern day ones!  My favourite (and the ideal one I'd like, although it's rare) is the 1958 Chevrolet Impala Two Door Hearse:

Now THAT is a sexy car!  The 1939 Cadillac Carved Panel seems to be a favourite among Hearse collectors, and I can see why!

It's almost like a church on wheels, with all those details inside and out.

While this is a hearse rental company in Australia, they have many beautiful photos of classic hearses, and a pictorial of the history of hearses in Australia.  They move from the 1926 Buick Hearse, all the way to a 1968 HK Holden Hearse.  I really like the Ford Mainline Hearses, but especially the 1958 model they show:

Final Links: These are links to some pretty cool looking Hearse owners clubs.  So look around, and enjoy!

The Owl and Halloween

I was laughing the ENTIRE TIME I watched this.  Thanks to Pumpkinrot. I had to share, so enjoy:

Decapitated Mommy
Because she didn't get her way,
Now all she can do
Is sit in the graveyard and sway.
Giggling to herself about her
Maniacal  killing complex!
If you're not careful,
You may be next!

Just Whisper (from Haunt Forum) created this very cool prop for her yard haunt last year.  Here is a great video of her:

So here's her REALLY cool new prop, for Casey's bedroom in her haunt:

It always amazes me what these prop builders can do. I wish I had just a tiny bit of their talent!

Mummies, Oh My!

Mummies are super cool, and always a good subject matter for horror and action films.

Starting with the French "Cléopâtre" (which then became "Robbing Cleopatra's Tomb" in the USA).

Of course, there's the classic original "The Mummy" in 1932:

Many more Mummy movies were made, including treasure hunting movies like "Raiders of the Lost Ark":

And of course, most recently, "The Mummy", "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King".

Now you can enter Mummy Tombs anywhere in the world (because no, Egypt is not the only place Mummies are found), from anywhere in the world through The Mummy Tombs.

You can read about how various mummies were made, where they were from, how they were stored, and where you can go to see them.

Definitely check out the page on the Catacombs of Palermo, Curiosities, and Elmer McCurdy.

If you love mummies, this is also a great starting point to find more stuff on the web via search engines, YouTube, etc.

Happy Haunting!

Website Review-Doombuggies.com

I found this site through links from Haunt1000.com. DoomBuggies is a tribute to Disney's Haunted Mansion, including the ones in Florida, California, and the newer one in Paris (called Phantom Manor), not to mention worldwide ones, like the one in Tokyo.

Not only are there photos of the various mansions, sound clips, there are VIDEOS! Including a classic of a young Drew Barrymore (adorable from her E.T. days) touring the Haunted Mansion. There are also videos people have taken going through the ride (for those of us who can't afford to get to Disney, but desperately want to, if only for the Haunted Mansion).

Included is a story of a man's first ride through Haunted Mansion in California in 1977, when he was six years old.

The site is engrossing, easy to navigate, and gives the feel of being in the Haunted Mansion. I especially love the merchandise that is available, and the videos.

Definitely visit! :) And don't forget to get your Death Certificate while you're there!
